Bruised bowling bum

Tomorrow I get my dress!! Woo-hoo! Cannot wait… if you couldn’t tell.

Christmas was fantastic. I have some pictures from the days. It started out Saturday with bowling. Things were looking to be a good time. It was boys on one side and girls on the other. Julie bowled first for the girls, then it was my turn. I was feeling good… had a little confidence. So, I grabbed my ball and went through my steps and let it fly. It was looking good when all of the sudden I felt myself slipping. I tried to get my footing and then I kept slipping and slipping… just imagine me trying to get my footing over and over (you can laugh, but not too hard). So I kept slipping forward into the more greasy part of the lane (past the foul line). Then my feet go up in the air and boom! I land on my right cheek (not my face) and my right hand…. good thing I am left handed. I did get 7 pins down with that effort though! But for the rest of that game AND the next I only got all 10 pins down once… and my bum is really really sore. Then we had some good food and went to the Christmas Eve service at Resurrection Life Church. Then the presents… that was a good time. I got gift cards to Bed Bath & Beyond and Gap. Yes!

Christmas morning was an early one. I woke up by myself for the first time ever. But, next year I get to “have company” as Jim calls it. We were in Whitehall by 9 for the annual orange rolls and cinammon rolls breakfast. MMMM. Then we went to Rothbury’s service and then opened gifts. After that we ate and ate and played the Dutch version of “Sorry” or “Trouble.” I won’t even try to spell it. Lots good laughs and revenge 🙂 And I won!! Anyway, here are some pictures from Christmas Eve:

Notice how I am trying to hide the pain in the last picure… haha. Make the last few days of 2005 good!
